The Washington Post Selects IPIX AdMission Platform
The Washington Post Enhances Classified Advertiser Experience by Standardizing on AdMission Platform
NEXPO NAA NEWSPAPER TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE, June 22, 2004 – (NEXPO 2004 Booth #2625) - IPIX AdMission, a provider of directional advertising solutions, today announced that The Washington Post newspaper and its online affiliate, Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, have selected the IPIX AdMission™ enhanced advertising platform to manage their comprehensive photo ad program. After providing basic ad information with The Post’s call center, advertisers will be directed to the washingtonpost.com website to easily upload images and logos to support their print and online ads.
The Washington Post selected AdMission for its scalability, ease-of-use and transparency in an embedded platform. By integrating the AdMission platform, advertisers with little or no graphics experience are able to easily enhance text ads with multiple images. Consumers reading The Washington Post print and online classifieds gain access to enhanced photo ad presentation, efficient display and search capabilities.
"AdMission will give our advertisers an easy, intuitive way to complement their text classified ads with photos," said Goli Sheikholeslami, director, consumer to consumer marketing for The Washington Post newspaper. "Not only does the addition of images and logos generate incremental revenue for us, but it helps readers make more informed purchasing decisions. We process tens of thousands of advertising requests per year. The AdMission platform eases management of our entire photo ad classifieds program. It’s a profitable up-sell and very easy for our customers to access and work with."
"We are very pleased that The Washington Post has chosen the AdMission platform as part of its advertising strategy," said Sarah Pate, general manager of IPIX AdMission. "Bringing self-service enhanced ad solutions to newspapers such as The Washington Post opens opportunities for additional revenue for the publisher by giving both advertisers and consumers exactly what they want."
